Our Mission
Each day HCC roasts high in the Rockies to produce some of the best coffee you’ll find. Highest quality beans, slow roasting at altitude makes this critical difference. Unlike most of the competition,
HCC does not over-roast at extremely high temperatures to produce a quick supply. HCC takes its time, to roast to perfection. Doing so allows the beans to release their oils at just the right time, giving each customer a full, flavorful cup of quality roasted coffee.

Why Highland Coffee is the Best!
Roasted in the shadows of Long’s Peak, the highest mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park at a towering 14,259 feet, our finished beans are unique. Roasting at high altitude is different than roasting at sea level. The air pressure is different. The humidity is different. It means we slow roast at a lower temperature to achieve a rich, full-bodied roast without the bitterness often associated with other finished coffees. Lower temps and longer times produce a better, smoother, finished product. Our Brand depends on this, and is synonymous with this. It is what helps differentiate us in an extremely competitive market.

Giving Back
HCC is committed to giving back to the community. Every Sale Helps Rescue Abducted Children.
Rescuing Children Since 1993, the Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of former and active intelligence officers (CIA), military special operators, and law enforcement officers who rescue missing, abducted and trafficked American children being held in the US or overseas.
ARC’s all-encompassing child recovery program comes at no cost to the custodial parent(s). Their commitment is, “We don’t come home without the child.” A portion of the revenues from every sale goes to supporting the recovery and rescue of abducted children.
High Altitude Roasting HEALTH Benefits
Colorado is home to some of the best coffee roasters in the country. Here in Estes Park, coffee is roasted at a higher altitude, which gives it a unique flavor and aroma that cannot be found anywhere else.
In addition to the taste benefits, brewing coffee at attitude, also has some health benefits. The lower air pressure at high altitudes means that the water boils at a lower temperature, which preserves more of the coffee’s antioxidants. These antioxidants can help to protect against cancer, heart disease, and other chronic diseases.

Sustainable, Agronomic Coffee Resources
Labeled the Volcafe Way, HCC supports sustainable farming techniques that are now active in Africa, Asia and Latin America. More than a sustainability strategy, it’s the way our partners, and we, do business. This is a “root cause, root solution” approach, working directly with coffee farmers to assist and train them in sustainable production techniques and good agronomy practices, as well as in making the best uses of their land for future generations.
Natural, Organic Coffee
Highland Coffee Company was also founded with the vision of producing fair trade, organic, all-natural coffee unlike any coffee produced anywhere in the world and thus far we believe we have done exactly that.
We offer single origin sourced coffee for single bag orders, retail sales, wholesale sales, as well as monthly subscriptions. Single origin coffees do not come in blends but are roasted in order to draw out the natural flavors of the beans based on region, elevation, soil and more. Our beans are specialty grade quality and fall into the third wave specialty coffee category. We have our roastery and coffee shop in Estes Park Colorado so feel free to drop in and say hello if you find yourself in town or at a local event.
